I took this earlier in the week as a haboob was starting to come in. As the dust threatened to extinguish the last bit of sky with the single palm tree blowing in the wind.
I walked around the neighborhood looking for something interesting to shoot. I was taking some pictures of an empty bench under some trees that looked neat with the maze of shadows from the trees overhead, and while the camera was taking that picture I looked at the trees and noticed that the streetlight was lighting the leaves up like it was fall. The white balance being off some just helped create that look.
Went riding around the neighborhood with my camera in tow this afternoon and came across this. I’ve seen this tree by it’s lonesome in a lot that formerly housed a mobile home, and a couple months ago, the home decided to be mobile again leaving the tree to fend for itself. I took one photo with the tree in focus, but wasn’t really liking it as much as this version with the bars in focus and the tree unfocussed. You can still see the colors of the sunset coming through on the tree.
