Today’s photo is from this weekends’ NHRA National event out here in Phoenix. Being in the stands you feel the amazing power these cars have as they fly by you. This is right as the car launched and you can even see the tire beginning to deform from all that power.
Today’s photo was taken at South Mountain here in Phoenix. The desert here is pretty much just brown & dull green so I feel black and white works well since there’s not much color anyways. Sony NEX-5N, SEL35mm, 1/160, f/7.1, ISO 100
I hadn’t realized I didn’t update all week. Today’s photo is also from last weekend’s Phoenix ComicCon. The kids expressions really match the characters they’re cosplaying as & I’m not sure if that’s by nature or they were just sick of having their picture taken. Either way they did an excellent job. Sony NEX-5N, SEL35mm, 1/60, f/2.0, ISO 250.
This weekend is Phoenix Comic-Con, and that’s where today’s photo comes from. I feel like I get good expressions from Two-Face cosplayers. Plus the Batman in the background is a nice touch. Sony NEX-5N, SEL35mm, 1/60, f/2.0, ISO 200.
Since today is Star Wars day, I decided to post a couple of my favorite Star Wars related photographs I’ve taken over the years.
Troopers hanging out at Star Wars Celebration III
an AT-AT coming for you
this is my restaurant alias
“I think those were the droids I was looking for”
Happy Star Wars day everybody! May the Forth be with You
Today’s photo is from a couple months ago, when I first got the Sigma 19 & 60 mm lenses. I went for a walk around the downtown Phoenix area to give the lenses a try. This is the Luhrs Tower which was built in 1929. It’s a unique building in the area. Sony NEX-5N, Sigma 19mm, 1/60, f/4.0, ISO100
Today’s photo was taken at this year’s AZ Matsuri Festival. This group of little kids was sitting by the stage waiting their turn to perform their dance and it made for a great scene. Shot with the Sigma 60mm on my NEX-5N, 1/400, f/2.8, ISO100.
