This afternoon I decided to take the lightrail to downtown Phoenix and get some food and hopefully some good pictures. The place I was hoping to go was closed since no one actually lives in downtown Phoenix (even though their phone message states they’re open on Sunday) so I walked around and got some shots, but nothing I was incredibly pleased with. On the way home I decided to get off in Tempe and walk around Tempe Town Lake area. When I was waiting for the lightrail to come home I noticed the sun’s position in the sky and thought it could look really cool with the sun shining low in the background as the train approached. So when the train came I stood up and snapped this photo. I’m happy with it, it turned out exactly how I visualized it.
Grabbed my XBox controller while looking for something to shoot.
I had seen an interesting shot of candles on deviant art and wanted to do something similar. I chose these hand towels that were in a basket because of the folds and textures.
It was getting late and I was outside scanning for something to shoot. I shot this photo of these flowers with these small cacti behind them.
As I was walking to check the mail I saw this leaf on the ground that had gotten sprayed from the neighbors sprinklers. I liked the decayed nature of the leaf with the perfectly placed drops from the water. I picked it up and brought it in the house and used the countertop as a background.
My mom has these fake apples in a vase and I’ve wanted to do something with them for a while.
I went out for a bike ride this evening and was riding by a mormon temple. I stopped to get a shot of the spire against the black night, but since there was no light on the spire I couldn’t get any shots in focus. I ended up taking this shot of flowers that were below my tripod set up.
