I took today’s photo on a fishing trip with my family. Coming back with the setting sun and the boat’s wake made for an image I really liked.

Today’s photo is another from San Diego. As we departed on our fishing trip I shot this HDR image from the back of the boat. The horizon is centered which is supposed to be a no-no, but I like the contrast between the drama of the clouds and the wake from the boat on the water. Sony NEX-5N, SEL16mm, f/6.3
Today’s photo is from the Old Town area of San Diego. I was there last weekend to do some fishing and the night before we ate dinner in the area. There was this bell-tower of a church we were passing by and I liked the way it looked framed in by the trees. Earlier I had been messing around with the NEX’s picture effects and took this picture in the rich-tone mono effect. When I got home I liked this version better than the color version. Sony NEX-5N, SEL35mm, 1/250, f/5.6, ISO 100; unedited picture straight from the camera.
