Today’s photo is from this weekends’ NHRA National event out here in Phoenix. Being in the stands you feel the amazing power these cars have as they fly by you. This is right as the car launched and you can even see the tire beginning to deform from all that power.
We travel to California frequently and most of the time on the way home the sun is setting behind us. Driving like that I’m always seeing these amazing colors and silhouettes in the rear-view mirror. I just had to stop on a recent trip.

Today’s photo was taken at this year’s Barrett-Jackson auction. It had been raining and as we were walking around we passed this Ferrari F430. I just loved the way the rain was sitting on the car.

In the summer, we took a day trip up north to get away from some of this oppressive heat we have in Phoenix. We were just outside of Sedona and stopped at this little visitors center with this great view. Sony NEX-5N, Sigma 60mm, f/6.3, ISO 100
Today’s photo is from this year’s Russo & Steele auction. This 1947 Mercury was about to go to auction when I passed by. The chrome, the lines, the details, really make these old cars stand out. Sony NEX-5N, SEL16mm, 1/50, f/5.6, ISO 3200
Today’s photo is a Ford Thunderbird from the Russo & Steele auction earlier this year. I like the look the fisheye gave with this car. Sony NEX-5N, SEL16mm w/VCL-ECF1 fisheye adapter, 1/160, f/4.5, ISO 100
I was on my way to pick up dinner the other day and the clouds were looking crazy. I had to stop and take a photo. iPhone 5, VSCO Cam app, 1/40, f/2.4, ISO 64
