Today we went for a ride on our quads and I took my camera along (actually the main reason I went was to take some pictures). One of the times we stopped, I took this photo of a mountain in the distance with the cloud cover. I didn’t convert it all the way to black & white, but just desaturated it quite a fair bit to help keep the contrast more extreme. I’m really happy with this one.
I like how this one turned out, it’s what I had in mind when I went out to shoot it. Using the Canon S2 zoomed all the way in with the widest aperture it can do, I was able to isolate the first bulb from the ones farther away, although the one right behind it is still in focus a bit. I underexposed it in the camera and a little more so in Lightroom to keep the focus of the picture on the bulb.
I bought my mom a popcorn maker for Christmas and here’s a sampling of what she’s done with it so far.
I was riding my bike this evening and while riding by this like I took this photo with my phone. It’s kind of crappy since I didn’t really have a way to stabilize it.

Santa’s coming tonight and here’s his cookies.
Close up of an ornament, or a self-shot; you decide.
