Today’s photo is another from this past weekend in Pismo Beach. I placed my tripod near the door, but forgot to put it in the car so I didn’t have it with me. Luckily I keep the GorillaPod in the backpack and was able to stick it on a railing to get this shot. It was about 10 at night, so there weren’t many people out but there were stars. Today’s photo is from Shell Beach this past weekend. I stacked my two .6 ND filters and my circular polarizer and at f/18, I still could only go as low as 1.3 seconds. I think I need a .9 or darker ND filter next time I go to the ocean. Edited in Perfect Effects 4 and Lightroom 4.
Sunday morning I woke up in our hotel room in Seal Beach and wanted to take some pictures at the beach. I knew it was too late for sunrise, but still early enough that people weren’t out. I walked down to the beach and sure enough, there was only a handful of people there exercising. I took a couple moments to enjoy the serenity of the nearly empty beach before taking a few photos. This photo was taken with the Minolta 135 f/3.5.
